Multiple College Athletic Conference Honors for Millbrook Alumni

College athletic conferences are releasing their regular season honors for winter athletics, and Millbrook alumni have received multiple prestigious accolades for their outstanding athletic skill throughout the season.

Will Rayman ’15 plays for the Division I Colgate Raiders men’s basketball team and has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Year. This is not surprising, as Rayman ’15 was referred to as a “freshman phenom” by the Raiders and was a five-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week honoree throughout the season. He also led the Raiders with an average of 14.4 points per game, 4.5 pulled-down rebounds per game, and broke the Colgate single-game rookie scoring record when he posted 34 points against Lafayette earlier in the season. Rayman '15 is the fourth men’s basketball player at Colgate to earn the Patriot League Rookie of the Year honor in the school’s history.

Melissa Sheeran ’14 plays ice hockey for the SUNY Plattsburgh Cardinals and was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Women’s West Player of the Year. Sheeran is the tenth player from the Cardinals’ program to earn the this honor. She leads ECAC Women’s West with 28 goals, 9 game-winning goals, and 7 power-play goals. Sheeran ’14 sits first in SUNY Plattsburgh history with 22 career game-winning goals.

Aldin Medunjanin ’11 has been named the Liberty League Player of the Year. He led Skidmore’s men’s basketball team this year with an average of 15.9 points, 6.6 rebound pull-downs, and 5.5 assists per game this season, which makes him Skidmore’s all-time leader in assists and second all-time in points scored.

Megan Lahey '15 has earned a spot on this year's ECAC West All-Conference Team. As a second-year defenseman at Elmira College, Lahey '15 had a strong offensive season with 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. This is a 14-point increase over her production last year, which is the most by a second-year defenseman in Elmira's history. Her 17 points also tied her for fourth-most in the ECAC West.

Ignas Slyka ’16 earned Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year. As an oncoming freshman athlete at Franklin & Marshall, Slyka 16 started in 14 games and had seven double-digit scoring games this season, including a career-high of 25 points against Ursinus. He averaged 8.0 points and 1.7 steals per game.

We love celebrating with and following our alumni athletic accomplishments. Athletics, across all levels, continues to be an integral part of Millbrook’s mission and student experience. Go Mustangs!
