Alumni To Play in Historic Hamilton College Hockey Games

 
Rory Gagnon '14 and Megan Ahern '13 are gearing up to make Hamilton College hockey history this weekend.

Both the Hamilton College men’s and women’s hockey teams will play NESCAC championship quarterfinal games at the Russell Safe Rink on Saturday, February 25. This is the first time in the school’s history that both teams have hosted quarterfinal games in the same year. The Continentals are the top seed for the second time in men's conference championship history and they play eighth-seeded Bowdoin College at 1:00 p.m. Hamilton is the No. 3 seed on the women's side and the will take on sixth-seeded Bowdoin at 4:00 p.m.
 
Both Rory and Megan have earned multiple accolades and proven to be fierce competitors on the ice during their careers at Hamilton. Megan has earned two varsity letters, was named to the 2014-2015 All-Academic and All-Tournament Teams, and played in the 205 Saint Michael’s DoubleTree Classic. To-date Megan has scored a total of 35 career goal points and has had 11 assists.
 
Rory has played a central role in the men’s hockey team’s 17 wins this season. In the Continentals’ recent game against Middlebury, Rory led his team to a win with two goals. He has also racked up a total of 22 career goal points and 10 assists.
