Alumni Winter Day: Competition, Classroom Participation, & Comfort Food!

Alumni joined us over this past weekend for an exciting day of friendly athletic competition, classroom participation, comfort food, and reconnecting.

We were excited to welcome alumni to campus for the annual festivities, which began in the classroom, where they were able to participate in various classes including physics, honors English, and advanced drawing and painting.

Our alumni then took to the rink and courts where they enjoyed skating and squash with their families and competed in the annual John MacKenzie '46 Coed Alumni Hockey Game. Ron King, who recently retired after a 19-year tenure as the school's carpenter and rink manager, dropped the puck as the honorary captain of this year's face-off. The two team captains were Dan King '97 and alumnus and faculty member Gordie MacKenzie '79.

After working up an appetite, we gathered in the Firestone Room in the Mills Athletic Center to enjoy a spread of comfort food and an update on the school from Headmaster Drew Casertano. With full stomachs and strong spirits alumni concluded their day by joining fans to cheer on their favorite Millbrook teams.

It was an active day full of Mustang pride, and we thank everyone who participated. Be sure to check out our photo gallery for photographs from the event.
