Mustangs at the Millbrook Horse Trials

We were excited to have current students and alumni competing in the Millbrook Horse Trials.

The Millbrook Horse Trials, which is hosted at Coole Park Farm, attracts over 4,500 competitors and spectators with over 500 horses, and the advanced competition attracts Olympic-level horses and riders. The community looks forward to the event each year, as riders from all of the world compete in dressage, cross country, and stadium jumping against the beautiful backdrop of Millbrook’s rolling hills.

Anna Duggan ’17, Lizzie Chamberlin ’19, Sloan Pierpont ’18, Hope Nicyper-Meryman ’12, and Kelly Spector ’15 competed in multiple events.

“What excites me most about the Millbrook Horse Trials is that it is a local event with a high level of competition and many international riders,” says Anna Duggan ’17 who participates in Millbrook’s riding program, which is possible through partnership with Kildare Stables.

The Millbrook region is an important part of the long equestrian tradition in the Hudson Valley. It is both fitting and exciting to have this prestigious and competitive event right next door, and to watch our very own Mustangs compete. Congratulations to all!
