Page to Stage: A Performing Arts Event Presented by Millbrook's Playwriting Students
Students delivered outstanding performances at Millbrook’s annual Page to Stage event on May 10th.
Page to Stage is a culmination of the work of students particitpating in Millbrook’s playwriting course, which is a year-long offering. Students in this course have devoted their year to exploring themselves as creative writers, identifying strong dramatic questions, discovering what drives character, establishing a sense of place, and ultimately finding inspiration to write their own one-act plays.
During the event, students served as the actors, writers, and directors for the evening as they shared excerpts from their plays. Claire Kissane's play, Seven Trumpets, was selected for a student-directed full production next year. Congrats to Claire, and to all of our students who participated, for a job well done!
