Library Assistant/Academic Technology Coach
Millbrook School is seeking an experienced full-time Library Assistant/Academic Technology Coach to begin in August 2019, for the 19-20 academic year.
The candidate should have substantial proficiency in general school library operations; developing, implementing, and evaluating library programming; teaching library workshops; collection management; collaborating with teaching faculty; identifying tech tools for implementation; creating LibGuides, and conducting technology training for teachers.
Working together with the Library and Academic Technology Director, the Library Assistant/Academic Technology Coach performs a variety of functions to support both the day-to-day operations of the Flagler Memorial Library and the growth of Millbrook’s Academic Technology program. Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: teaching research workshops and Millbrook’s Digital Creation curriculum; assisting students with research and citation questions; maintaining a deep knowledge of the collection through extensive reading, shelf checking, and collection audit; collaborating with teaching faculty to support their work and maintain an understanding of Millbrook’s academic curriculum; facilitating library events and programming; providing both research and technical support for teaching faculty; and identifying new opportunities for educational technology implementation to enhance Millbrook’s academic program.
